I usually go to Japan every year and I remember that Hatomugi toner and the Biore cleansers were both very popular, my Japanese housemates used to have Biore cleansers so the bathroom always had tons of them. Also Shiseido Aqua Label was everywhere, this was back in 2016 though so I would assume trends have changed. I used many of these products, and also a few of the the rosette cleansers as well, I remember buying them as they were bestsellers in one of the drug stores

Been buying Hada labo lotions since 2016, and tried the naturie skin conditioning gel last 2018. It came with a small bottle of the naturie lotion, which was so so for me. VT Cica Daily Soothing Mask has a really great ingredients list.. and it’s very affordable too. Such a shame that it has such a strong fragrance/scent, immediately breakout my skin 🙁

You are right about toners. Here in the U.S. toners are the least commonly used beauty product aside from sunscreen. We rarely wear sunscreen unless it’s hot or we are going to be outside for 2 hrs or longer.
