Capitalism popped off with all those adds and promos for the Marshalls headphones. Got me to buy them not for fashion, but because up until now I have not found ones that fit my head, are soft, don’t hurt and don’t noise cancel too much (I want to be able to hear what’s happening around me, sue me). And yes, they are pretty cool looking. I am beyond impressed with them 👌👌👌
Where I live the trend I definitely saw everyone dabbling in or imitating was the Air Force one’s, especially the colorful ones, or the color changing ones. You go out and literally everyone is wearing those or the converse with the weird, chunky soles.
the thing that validates airpod max buyers is that they actually sound incredible and compare in sound to $1000+ audiophile headphones. also the tech inside is pretty incredible with how detailed and well executed the noise transparency and cancellation are. the hardware is all such high quality too, so the price can be well justified with those things in mind. But buying them just for the fit at that price can be corny for sure
the stussy takeover was real this year and is quickly already gettin played.
My favorite trend is New Balance. I think they have absolute heat right now. However, 550s are not my favorite silhouette. I would rather have a 2002r or even the just a 574 or 327 before a 550. Of course my favorite models are the 99x models. That is where the real New Balance quality and comfort comes in. I am not a fan of baggy pants but I was also not a fan of skinny jeans when that was the thing to wear. I will wear slightly slim to slight loose pants. I was around for the baggy pants trend of the 2000s. Do you know one of the reasons why we stopped wearing them ,at least the ones that went below the shoe and hit the ground? They dragged on the floor, got dirty, muddy and nasty and people would drag all that nasty stuff into the house.
I’ve been wearing Salomon’s for about 10 years now just because they were really practical shoes never thought of them as fashion item
I dont´t get the hype around the airpods max. I haven´t seen anyone wearing them outside social media but i think people look goofy with them, idk i think it’s bc they are so overpriced and you can get waaay better looking headphones with good quality for lower prices
I have to admit my favourite trend this year is the throw back to older fashion, the thrifting , the shoes , the clothes it’s just awesome to see fashion going back in time because there’s some really nice pieces
i very almost got a pair of xt-6’s. what held me back was all the bad reviews about the quality

personally i find the airpod pro max headohones ugly they literally look like big fat marshmellows on your ears, i find the headphone trend cool but like just wearing them for an aesthetic? its crazy. please take a good use to them. but at the end of the day its peoples lifes and however they want to live it. Fashion is a mix match of things and its fun to see others styles.
Surprised you didn’t mention crocs. Crocs have gotten so big over the past two years, that people have legit turned them into an everyday beater "shoe." It’s to the point where people wear crocs as an actual part of outfits. Shit is ridiculous imo.

I personalny looove the 550s. I’ve been thinking about getting a pair for a year and I think I’m going to get one of the first gr releases.I think those pairs make the 550 for me, the blue/green/red pair are so beautiful. But even what aime Leon dore is doing with the new 650 and the newest 550(those suede ones) are so bad compared to the previous pairs. I think teddy should move on to other nb sneakers

The definitely funniest TV Show I’ve ever seen is Community. The humour in it is either so smart, and yet understandable, or just simple, but absurd (depending on the moment)
ultra boosts were always ugly. Yeezy ultra boost thing idk what they called 550 idk them shiz was so ugly idk why or how anyone liked those silhouettes

Drew, there are different leather used in 550. The ALD and some GR are more full grained leather. Most GR leather are chemical tanned.
I love headphones and have always used them. I think it looks cool inte general, but as you said, for me it’s more function over look, but tbh I think the apple ones are ugly af 😬 like… if I got them for free, I’d probably still not wear them outside. I live in sweden so headphones are also perfect to warm your ears during winter instead of using a hat haha
After getting into nb 8 years ago due to its high quality cricket spikes, im glad its getting the recognition it deserved, as it means you see more variation in public, as opposed to only seeing nike/adidas, aswell as the fact that we are moving towards pieces that last instead of fast fashion

Really enjoy the playfulness and the deconstruction of fashion norms that we’re seeing now! Love to see creativity, expression and innovation. The only thing that *sometimes* bothers me is when the pretty and skinny privilege comes through in that approach to fashion. I do wonder if certain fits would be considered unsophisticated, random or mid on other body types. For example, Bella’s iconic fit with the racer leather jacket, briefs and uggs. Just a thought! x

Okay I hear your point about $500 headphones, but hear me out. Apple iPhone is a fashion statement. The built, shape, design and feel of the product is on its own a fashion piece of luxury. Apple so happens to also make a pair of headphones following that same philosophy. You get what you paid for.

parachute pants as an irl go out with friends piece to wear is really iffy. They look cool on the gram but the way they drape while walking and sitting and ya know livin life put me off. it really depends on how they size on ur bodytype bc they can look really extra really easily if not sized properly.

I’m so thankful that headphones are popular now. I used to be embarrassed to wear them because nobody did but regular earbuds hurt my ears. I’m also loving the diversification of style. It’s easier to experiment with style and add artistic touches to your outfits now without people thinking it’s weird, even in my little suburban town. just a few years ago when I did that people would laugh. Everyone is appreciating personal style a little more
I hate how fast trend cycles are going and consumerism but I think the plus is that it’s going so fast that hopefully soon trends won’t matter anymore, nobody can keep up without buying something new every week

550’s are that sorta trend that you don’t actually see in public very often but because you’re so used to seeing it online it seems like it’s everywhere.

Bruh I hope Adidas don’t bump their price on the Adidas Sambas. I wore them back in 2016 In High School and the price was around $60; recently, they have gotten more popular, and the price on some models are roaming around $110!!!

I really don’t like the clogs/foam/comfort shoe trend. Most of them look kinda ugly to me and they kinda communicate laziness which is the ugliest thing of all. IMO Sneakers are way more comfortable and better looking.
