huge pain but ill come now
I disagree with some of this advice. I’m in my 40’s and don’t yet have any grey hairs. I also have oily hair and I wash it every to remove dust/dirt and to keep it fresh. The trick is to use gentle products, like baby shampoo which is pH neutral. You can also blow dry your hair every day but wait until it is significantly dried naturally before you do it and only use medium heat at most. I do however agree with Nikol that washing your hair in really hot water (or bathing in hot water for that matter) will dehydrate your skin and hair. The temperature should be warm but not overly. As for hair masks, well, a combination of coconut and olive oil is natural and full of protein and moisturizer, which can be done once a month. Finally, keep your hair regularly trimmed and avoid too many sticky styling products.
Nikol, you read my mind I so needed to see this as I could use these reminders and a bit of a refresh. I stopped washing my hair often when I went gray and now I average about every 4-5 days. My scalp is happier, and on workout days I just rinse my hair really well with water in the shower. Thank you ☺️ I’m going to add a few of these products on my list so I can improve my process. 💕
Hi Nikol, I am a 67 year old hispanic woman. I have always struggle with my hair being very freeze. To this day, the only thing that has work is brazilian blowdry but have done it only a couple of times and did not want to continue damaging my hair on top of the monthly coloring… is there any advice you can share? Thank you very much
One of your secrets is genetics.🤷♀️
💖💖💖 1st…You look AMAZING in hot pink! Lol! Great info… thank you!
Nikola, I have grey hair envy for your gorgeous hair!!! I’m salt and pepper. My question is: Is your hair all natural grey???
Great video – thanks. I do some of these things already but hair is still not great, will perhaps look into some of your suggested products.
Would love a video on how you dry your hair to create such volume!
The T 3 brand microfiber towel is the best I’ve ever used. And I use the Wetbrush to brush my hair while damp. It’s made for wet hair. It’s great.
my hair is curly, growing out white, corse and wild. longer hair works better for me, i can corral either on humid days and beautiful days it can be free❤️
Nicole, I love your makeup advice, but hair – not so much. Ladies, before you start rinsing your hair with cool water, you really need to understand porosity. High porosity hair is like a sponge; low porosity hair is the exact opposite – it rejects moisture. Those of us with low porosity hair should never, never, never rinse with cool water (not unless you want your hair to turn into straw). Rinsing with cool water closes the hair shaft up tighter than a drum. Any thick moisturizing product you use will just sit on the surface and cause product buildup which will lead to dryness as low porosity hair is prone to buildup. Deep conditioning must be done weekly and must always be accompanied by heat to open up the hair cuticle. Once you can get moisture into your hair it will retain it. The problem is getting it in. Also we low porosity gals must avoid overuse of leave-in products and conditioners as they usually contain protein. Too much protein will cause low porosity hair to become stiff from protein overload. Also, a clarifying shampoo (sulfate-free) should be used twice a month.
I used to take generic advice from hair care professionals and nearly ruined my hair. I didn’t understand porosity. I have done extensive research on this subject. Hair care is not one size fits all.
How do I get this list of Products
Are there any chemical free ‘clean’ purple hair toners?
Trying to find out which big magnetic rollers you use? Can’t find the link anywhere? Can you listed please? I’d like to get a good quality ones! Thanks!
She is so beautiful and classy
I even love her voice
Where can I buy the towel?
A number or how I can get in touch with you to order these products help please
Nikol or who ever is reading this, I need some shared wisdom. I have colored my hair for decades, but I want to stop. How can I fairly quickly remove the color? I used a medium brown color on my now a white hair. Have not colored it in almost 7 weeks now, but want to speed the process. Help!
The Kerastase serums are amazing! I also love the hair mask by Colleen Rothschild and silk pillowcases are game changers!
May I PLZ add some suggestions for those like me w/ oily hair… allow 1 day a week to get really greasy. U don’t have to tho. Work that NATURAL conditioning thru ur hair.Mother Nature knows best! I use a Boar Bristle Brush since I was a kid. its wonderful for ALL hair types. Hope this helps~
thnx again for all ur wonderful info!#!!💋
Letting my grey hair grow out, ugh it’s hard I just cut off 8 inches my hair is now to my shoulder. But it’s hard.
Her biggest “hair secret” is great hair genetics first and foremost!
I love your suggestions! 🥰
Thankyou so much for all the tips. Just wanted to know i am also 58 woth grey hair and planning to learn swimming. What should i do to protect my thin grey hair apart from wearing a cap. Thanks
I found the hair ties that look like old phone chords are great especially for fine long hair.
Ugh my hair is so thin. I love dry shampoo but my hair is so oily not even d.s. helps. I want your hair!!
Thanks for the tips. I’ve transitioned to my natural gray and my color is very similar to yours but mine is too dry. I’ll be trying the products you recommended. Can you recommend a good shampoo and dry shampoo?
How old do you think she is? Not that it’s any of my business
I was taking noted furiously throughout this one! I have fine textured very curly hair and a lot of it. I’ve fought the curls most of my life until the last year or so. I don’t mind the curls but living in Houston means frizz! Never a good look, especially now my hair is white and light gray. I stopped bleaching it, even highlights, 4 years ago. No products worked to stop the frizz so I recently had a keratin treatment. So far I can do nothing with my hair! I was told the curls or waves would still be there but no frizz. Wrong. My hair hangs lanky with no wave at all. At least so far. I always had a ton of body and now nothing. I have written all the products I think might help me. I hope they do. I cannot use a blower brush like yours due to a painful right wrist left over from a car crash last year. Wish me luck!
In old beauty book from maybe the 1940’s, Gaylord Hauser recommended adding a beaten egg or two to hair hair once shampoo is lathered up. Massage it on scalp and through the strands. Leave a few min or as long as you can in shower before thoroughly rinsing it out & then condition as usual. Good for helping thicken the strands and being natural, no concerns about product irritation. Best done on a day or night when staying in, in case slight scent of raw egg needs to dissipate.
Thank you for sharing all these products for hair. What do you use in hot and sunny Florida to protect your hair from the sun? Thank you!
Hello! I just got of my sewing room and I have been working on a Christmas gift all day! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you for sharing your time and talent!
I looked up some of your suggestions and they are quite expensive for this old gal. She’s on a retirement budget.
Biotin
I just watched my favorite dermatologist, Dr. Andrea Drey, on here. She uses a line called FUNCTION OF BEAUTY for her hair. They custom formulate your shampoo, condition, and serum according to how you answer some questions. It’s cruelty free and you can opt to get it fragrance free or choose from several scents.
Nikol, I am so envious of your gorgeous hair. I have difficult hair with patches of curls and tons of cowlicks. Plus I am over 60 so it is so dry. I need to get a good mask.
Hi dear,my age is 60 my roots going weak plz suggest me some tips,my country weather usualy hot
You are very lucky to have such a thick head of hair. I used to, but not anymore. 😔
Nikol, I can only afford to buy one of the products you mentioned. Which one should I start with?
How about a hair spray for people with fine but thick hair. My gray is also very wiry with NO body!! Help!!
I,too, have noticed my hair adjusting to being washed less frequently. For years, I washed my hair daily. It has taken some time, but I can go 4 days without washing. Started using a dry shampoo. It’s also longer, which means I can pull it back on day 4.
Quisiera poder tener traducción en el audio de estos vídeos de Nikol, para entender que dice acerca de los productos de cabello canoso.
Love your video content. I have similar natural grey/white hair color like yours and I’m loving my hair at 62 yo.. I would like to use the hair masks but don’t know when to apply; after shampooing(?); apply hair mask, then conditioner? Thanks
HI Nikol. Love your videos. Never stop doing them :)))). How do you keep your hair from turning yellow when using heat?
Thanks for your fantastic hair tips Nikol. Can you tell me what eye shadow you have on in this video please?
When your scalp is so incredibly oily that within 18-24 hours after shampooing it’s already stuck down to your scalp….dry shampoo won’t help that. I’m 60 years old and have had to wash my hair every single day ever since I hit puberty. For some people with extremely oily skin/scalp it is essential to wash every day otherwise We end up with seborrheic dermatitis , dandruff ,hair loss or other scalp issues.
What about oils? CRISAN fir one, have you tried?
Many of these products contain silicone. If you have very fine hair silicone is usually not your friend!
