Today, I want to give you a really good and inexpensive tip for hair growth or thicker hair.

While I do sell different hair growth products, today, I just want to give you a simple tip to help promote hair growth.

My #1 tip for hair growth and thicker hair is to consume gelatin. You could use either gelatin, unflavored and unsweetened Jell-O, or hydrolyzed collagen.

How gelatin can potentially help increase hair growth:
• It’s 99% protein
• It has amino acids and peptides
• It increases blood flow and blood volume

In a few interesting studies, they saw a 50% increase in hair growth, a substantial increase in the diameter of the hair, and an increase in the number of hairs.

Gelatin may help provide the raw material needed and boost blood flow to add some additional help when it comes to hair growth—even if there is an autoimmune component or genetic weakness.

You may want to try 10 to 14 grams (1 Tbsp) of gelatin powder per day with L-cysteine or NAC and saw palmetto.

I felt way more confident as a bald woman when I had cancer than I do now that the cancer is gone and my hair somewhat grew back. Because of one of the chemo drugs I took, it caused my hair to not grow back all the way. I have VERY thin, fine hair with bald spots on the top to back. I can not have it cut in any “hair style” because I do not have enough hair. I am very self conscious of it and the only way I feel “safe” is by clipping it up or putting it in a ponytail. I have to get children’s hair accessories to even do that.

People just don’t get it. I look in the mirror and I don’t recognize anything about the ME I am now. I have no boobs, cancer and chemo aged me quite a bit, and my hair looks hideous.

I would appreciate any guidance you can give me, Dr. Berg. I’ve been struggling with this for 7 years….I am also on Tamoxifen and have hypothyroidism.

Some people are asking so thought I’d post a couple things…"Custom Collagen Peptides" is a clean fish collagen supplement. Peptides is better absorbed. It comes in a really big container and I’ve consumed a whole container of it with really amazing results. No problem at all with it. And unlike Jello, it has no sugar or colors added and is tasteless.

  13. xKarenWalkerx on October 17, 2022 at 8:28 pm

Do we eat the jello or put directly on hair?

  14. Khansa Nas on October 17, 2022 at 8:29 pm

How do you take this and how often?

Another really effective method is to stop washing your hair often and to stop using chemicals (schampoo and all hair products) and use organic Aleppo soap instead. AND: the inversion method! Massage your scalp with your head upside down for 4 minutes everyday for a week every month! My hair grows 1 inch (2 cm) during these 7 days. The increased blood flow stimulates hair growth. Don’t do this longer than 7 days every month because you don’t want your scalp to get used to this! Also, use organic rosemary and organic cold pressed castor oil for your hair. 🙂 There are many other effective oils for hair growth too!

  22. S M on October 17, 2022 at 8:39 pm

Dr. Berg … most of the gelatin powders that I searched were beef based. … can you please recommend a vegan or veggie product as effective as the beef one ? Thanks!!

  23. Jim Ivey on October 17, 2022 at 8:40 pm

At age 72, I’ve been using collagen peptides for a year for the sake of my joints. It worked, but I also noticed that my hair has gotten thicker.

I spent over $400 on "Dr." Berg’s hair loss supplement, took it as directed for months, and there was no improvement. I tried to post a review on his website, but they don’t post the negative reviews.

  33. Sara on October 17, 2022 at 8:51 pm

When I was a kid I had an accident that tore off my nails on one hand and I hd had to get surgery. My nails were not growing back and my doctor told me to start eating jello and it worked! Hair and nails are basically the same thing – keratin protein… hence why you can get hair and nail vitamins! So yeah – jello, taking biotin and a good multivitamin will do wonders for you nails and hair ♥️
