Hydrogen Peroxide is used as a debriding (mouth wash) in the states. I believe it’s at a MUCH lower percentage though. It’s in the drug facts though.
So when my dentist finally started seeing patients again after the CV started, they actually had me wash my mouth by swishing hydrogen peroxide before they did my check up to kill the germs and bacteria in my mouth apparently. They did a mixture of it with water though so it wasn’t pure hydrogen peroxide.

I have a big bottle for my plants and for infections (worked best for my piercings), but for my plants it’s mixed with water (The last time was probably… 1x peroxide 5-6x water) and for infections directly with a cotton swab on the area. I remember using it once near my mouth and it just tasted soooo horrible. Can’t imagine how people directly use it as mouth wash. Not to mention how fast it’ll bleach.

Why do I want to do the teeth one???? In the UK it’s hard to get good whitening strips. You can’t even buy crest here bc it’s too strong.

In my teen years I was very insecure about my teeth and used peroxide, but I never swished it, I used to soak cotton rounds in peroxide and tin foil to hold it on

This all sounds stupid, well no it IS stupid, but people have always been stupid when it comes to beauty.
Eating tape worms or taking amphetamines to lose weight, covering your face in lead or uranium to clear your skin; humans always get stupid and desperate when it comes to trying to be more beautiful.
Especially at a discount.
People love freckles only across the nose and cheeks. Nobody loves natural freckles. We get bullied mercilessly. I really wish fake freckles would end, you fucking hypocrites
Pls if you must play with DIY stuff in/on your body stop just buying the top Amazon/eBay ‘sort by price: low to high’ results 😭 that shoddy plastic bottle with the inkjet address label packaging could literally be anything

My parents are nurses and they’ve told me that you can actually use a small out of hydrogen peroxide if you need someone or your dog to throw up immediately. So yeahhh I’d say putting it in your mouth probably isn’t your best bet.

our dentist cousin advised my sister with stained teeth to use a cotton soaked with hydrogen peroxide and tinfoil to wrap the stained teeth with for just a few seconds, didnt really work well cause my sisters stain was too strong lol
TikTok trends are scaring me! None of this trends sounded safe or good! Why did people decided to try them anyway?!! Pulling your hair until your head makes a sound that it’s not suposed to make, sounds good? Putting something in your mouth without knowing what exactly it is or it’s possible conquences, sound safe? Tatooing at home, where we ignore all the recomedentions and safety rules, sound safe?!
How about that trend where people are using melanotan in a nasal spray 😶 Injecting something that mimics a hormone is a TERRIBLE idea.
I don’t think this counts but I accidentally did the sunscreen contouring thing on my abs by using sunscreen and then immediately jumping on an inner tube and getting an ab shaped sunburn. Would definitely not do that on purpose

I would mix peroxide and baking soda for teeth whitening when I was a kid…I never had any problems 🤷🏻♀️
Edit: I only did this like 2x a month
.. I’ve literally been told by my dentist to brush my teeth with 3% store bought hydrogen peroxide a few times a week to prevent from cavities. I have deep pits in my molars that constantly get tiny cavities and since doing this they’ve gone away and I’m not getting any more. I have sensitive gums and haven’t had any issue with irritation

As someone who has scalp damage from surgery – I have had 9 brain surgeries – don’t. Do. That. To your scalp. Jesus Christ. My surgeries were 12 years ago. I STILL struggle with hair growth in the spots where they had to open my skull. I had 8 on the left side of my head and one on the right. My left side has always been thinner. Stop being stupid and intentionally damaging your scalp
I have never tried any of these trends.
