I love you! Your attitude is contagious. I watched and read three articles before yours. They all stated do not wear denim do not wear bright colors etc… I am 49, I realized that I don’t want to trash my entire collection of personal fashion! It’s an investment. I’m not ready to start walking away from it yet. I’m excited that no matter how old I am or my body shape. I’m free to live, my fashion my way!

My 95 year old mother can still Rick a pair of jeans. She has four daughters that make sure she doesn’t look like an “old lady”. I do wish she would wear more comfortable shoes!
One of my fave outfits is bright pink skinny jeans, bright pink tunic top and a bright red cardigan. Worn with low heeled black suede boots and gold jewelry. I always coordinate with matchy type sunglasses. I’m 64 just had a birthday this month!

Disappointed that this was a lecture instead using photo examples. FYI hair that doesn’t move is terribly dated ragardless of color.
50 is young. I know 40 year olds who are fat and frumpy, and 50 somethings who have rock hard bodies. Let’s get rid of the whole "over 50" label, can we? Especially when you yourself are in your 60s. Why would anyone think they couldn’t wear denim "after 50?" Jesus.

I agree that there is no such thing as age appropriate style, but I personally think there is such a thing as appropriate body shape style.
Love the confidence. I’m sharing this with my daughter. We are all beautiful women and should enjoy how we look and feel. Embracing the wrinkles on my face has been difficult. I choose to embrace color now and love myself enough to be me and dress for myself not others.

I really love the longer hair on older women. My girlfriend (72) wears her hair long and women tell her all the time she should cut it short, she’s too old for long hair. Boooo- she is absolutely stunning. We women need to lift each other up. Some women rock the short hair but long and grey hair that is healthy is gorgeous.
