I remember the creepy green kitchen in the movie Sybil starring Sally Fields. No green for me. Good for other people.

  2. Samantha A. on December 6, 2022 at 2:00 am

I would rather have an airfryer on a counter than a lamp

  3. DreamDesign&Decor on December 6, 2022 at 2:01 am

Thanks for the tips! You are adorable, btw ❤

  4. Joanne on December 6, 2022 at 2:01 am

Wow, I must be ahead of the curve. I just painted my kitchen darkish green last spring, and changed my hardware to polished brass. It looks awesome. The color is Ben Moore Rushing River. Green is my favorite color and I finally got the nerve to move away from the all white kitchen. So glad I did.

  5. KENYAETTAH BOSS on December 6, 2022 at 2:06 am

Table Lamps with small babies it’s a no no

  6. Alex Press on December 6, 2022 at 2:06 am

Wasn’t green, pink and yellow popular in 70s or something…I have seen extremely outdated kitchen and bathrooms with those tragic colors and mini tiles lol. I’ll pass white kitchens are classic!

  7. allthings nu on December 6, 2022 at 2:08 am

Great video! I hope/plan to reno my kitchen next year so I appreciate the ideas. I have my grandmother’s small china cabinet that works perfectly for my small appliances now so I’ll keep it in the new kitchen.

  8. Meredith Morgan on December 6, 2022 at 2:11 am

Oh I love my natural wood finish inside my cabinets. But I also put art inside my cabinet doors! Just for a little fun surprise that is mostly hidden away.

  9. Lenore Taranto on December 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

    Hi Kiva!
    I love your videos!
Have you ever done an ikea kitchen for a client?
If yes, which cabinets do you like? Is the bodarp a green that you like?

  10. Lenore Jackson on December 6, 2022 at 2:13 am

    Congrats Keva !

  11. Mary Nieca on December 6, 2022 at 2:14 am

The lampshade is going to get greasy in the kitchen??

  12. Michelle MacLean on December 6, 2022 at 2:15 am

I’m implementing a green lamp that has appliance storage lol

  13. Laurel Fox on December 6, 2022 at 2:16 am

If you need green in your kitchen, buy a plant.

  14. Carma Daria Companiona on December 6, 2022 at 2:16 am

Are shaker style cabinets still in or are they being replaced by flat fronts?

  15. Chris W on December 6, 2022 at 2:17 am

I don’t buy this green trend. It’s either a) All in the heads of designers or b) will be so short lived that there’ll be a lot of people painting very soon.

  16. Mary Nieca on December 6, 2022 at 2:17 am

    Green cabinets

  17. April Leak on December 6, 2022 at 2:18 am

There are too many trends to keep up with. I love a fresh new design but the cost to keep up is expensive.

  18. Renee Perry on December 6, 2022 at 2:19 am

OMG I dont normally comment BUT this video is a waste of time this is called a slide in oven NOT a “backless stove”, appliance cabinets are not new, cabinet lighting has always been around, wallpaper lined and interior painted is not new either, open shelving is not going anywhere……..UGH this video was such a waste of time.

  19. Jeremy Bowden on December 6, 2022 at 2:24 am

I haaaaaaate painted cabinet interiors. Our house was built in 2012 and has them and I’ve hated them since we moved in. In my opinion, the paint looks dirty. I’m sure that sounds weird but plain cabinet interiors are clean.

  20. ute mim on December 6, 2022 at 2:24 am

lol backless stove .. I’m from Germany and we never had dtoves with backs over here. otherwise I love those videos

  21. Pamela Howard on December 6, 2022 at 2:25 am

All trends come and go. Classic stands the test of time. Design your kitchen for you!! Who cares what others think. !!!

Appliance garages used to be popular in the late 80’s and 90’s. It does help streamline your countertops and reduce clutter. I only have 3 appliances out – my Keurig, the KitchenAid mixer, and toaster. Everything else is in the cabinet below the microwave.

  24. Cristal Leslie on December 6, 2022 at 2:27 am

I love this woman! Subscribed. So many great tips.

  25. Mims on December 6, 2022 at 2:29 am

I just found your channel Love it

  26. Chris W on December 6, 2022 at 2:29 am

Please don’t start adding lamps to kitchens. They’re a fire hazard, and just like appliances, they take room up. What a bad idea.

  27. Allison Moon: She Wanders Feral on December 6, 2022 at 2:32 am

about 6 years ago, I added ‘sage green’ Masters’ Kartel chairs: patina green screams EUROPE & always blends out in a home with plants

  28. K C on December 6, 2022 at 2:32 am

May I add another must-have addition to your appliance garage? Purchase those thin mats (cheap…cut-to-fit…I purchased mine from QVC) for underneath all of those appliances that you will still have to slide forward with each use! They make everything glide easily with almost zero effort. 😉 *LOVE your videos and how quickly you get to the point—and include common sense details for all your home designs.

It is so funny my kitchen I did years ago we sold a motorcycle for 10,000 to redo the kitchen.I did kinda tuscan. Tile countertops because they were cheap which I love and lamps in my kitchen. I love my lamps on my countertops. Now there back in style so funny. I do not think my kitchen has ever been out of style expect when the whole white kitchen trend appeared. I wanted a warm, cozy space and it has lasted all these years and I still love it. I do love the green now and am thinking of doing my lower cabinets in green. All in all I think I picked a neautral tone. A tone I can elaborate on with pieces that fit the era and time.

  30. Sarah Giles on December 6, 2022 at 2:34 am

I have been loving green cabinets for a while ❤

  31. J G on December 6, 2022 at 2:35 am

Not feeling the lamp on the kitchen.

  32. Tiffany Gaydos on December 6, 2022 at 2:36 am

Yes Kiva, Yes!!! I agree with all of your points. Plus, you make me smile and giggle (pasta sauce). Your channel is so entertaining and helpful.

  33. Marie-Chantal G on December 6, 2022 at 2:39 am

The end of the all white kitchen.

  34. Shorty Tam on December 6, 2022 at 2:39 am

Great video! I painted my kitchen door green years ago and I’m so happy that I’m about to be on trend 😅

  35. Genita Gray on December 6, 2022 at 2:41 am

I’m getting tired of gray, but green is my least favorite color. Any new colors besides green?
I won’t purchase from Wayfair because they sell children. I watched a video speaking of this which showed furniture named girl’s names…. A chest of drawers named Ashley costing 20,000. As soon as the video came out, suddenly they removed this “furniture”.

  36. Faith G on December 6, 2022 at 2:43 am

Unpopular opinion but that orange oak everyone hates plays GREAT with green. Stone slab and mixed metals keeps it modern

  37. Nom Solo on December 6, 2022 at 2:43 am

Nothing says, "we never cook" like a couple massive lamps on limited, premium kitchen countertop space 🤣

  38. Jane Ann on December 6, 2022 at 2:44 am

    I LOVE green!

  39. Dani Hartland on December 6, 2022 at 2:44 am

Backless stoves are the woooorst if you have kids! I want those knobs as far away from toddler hands as I can get them 😬😬😬

  40. Dazey Knows on December 6, 2022 at 2:46 am

I have to say lamp in kitchen nah

  41. Generaljane on December 6, 2022 at 2:46 am

I have had a backless stove for twelve years.

  42. Lesley May on December 6, 2022 at 2:47 am

Ain’t nobody trying to put a lamp in the kitchen counter. That’s kinda odd. Also I feel like green cabinets are going to look dated quite fast. In a few years, it’ll be out. I love green, but cabinets are permanent, sell houses, and are expensive to replace or refinish.

  43. Derek Paul Kluz on December 6, 2022 at 2:48 am

    Good job

  44. Ammi M on December 6, 2022 at 2:48 am

I absolutely love the look of the cute wallpaper inside cabinets. The paint looks good too but the wallpaper especially with the glass doors. I still like the open shelves though because it helps me with my adhd seeing everything that I have out in the open. But, I also don’t need it to look perfect either 😂

  45. Kelley Wyskiel on December 6, 2022 at 2:51 am

We had wood cabinets and I thought they were dated. My husband painted them whit but used the wrong paint and hardware so it’s a filthy difficult to clean nightmare. I saw several gorgeous black painted cabinetry that looks gorgeous. So he bought the right paint, in a black. Weeks ago.
I refuse to paint them because I’m already fairly certain I’m going to hate them. Paint is great but the entire kitchen needs a full overhaul. So painting will just leave me with the same disaster and I’ll just be pissed with pretty cabinets.lol
Honestly I just want the woods and stones back.

  46. C Ste on December 6, 2022 at 2:55 am

Yes to the stand mixer description!! I feel heard 🙂

  47. extrovertedthinker on December 6, 2022 at 2:55 am

Love you, but I feel like green kitchens are going to be dated in a couple years.

  48. Betty Burch on December 6, 2022 at 2:55 am

I really love your video , but the backless stoves scare me . When the knobs are in the front and little one can reach them and turn them on .

  49. Carol on December 6, 2022 at 2:57 am

    Love Wayfair!

  50. Jerome Reynolds on December 6, 2022 at 2:58 am

The problem with the ‘backless’ stove is the controls have to go somewhere. Usually where children can reach them.
