Instead of launching the report in September, we decided to launch EARLY because this year, consumer needs are changing by the minute, and we are in the process of emerging to a new time period: the chaos and disruptive opportunity that occurs post-pandemic. In short: The Roaring 20s are Coming Back.

In our 2022 Trend Report and our trend research, we break crisis and chaos into 4 stages: Path Dependency (2010-19, where things are normal), Crisis (2020-21, where consumers seize up), Chaos (2022-24, where people try new things, and Recharting (when we get stuck in our ways again…) By understanding how these phases work, you will be better prepared to understand which consumer insights, opportunities and innovations will impact your market. Each phase comes with a different consumer behavior, so now is when you want to learn about the 2022 consumer insights, 2022 trends and all the unique ways to win in the year ahead.

It seems that all this "great" – technology – robots, metaverse – while having some advantages, may serve to alienate humans and detach them from reality rather than bring them together in the world of the living. Like everything else in life, moderation is a wise thing, whether in food consumption, T.V. viewing or staring into computer/phone screens. The excessive use and potential misuse of technology by malevolent forces and its intrusion into human affairs and interactivity can very well inure to our disadvantage. THREE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS: What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be free? Once those questions are answered, the next question is: How can technology be used to ENHANCE the human experience and PREVENTED from negatively impacting it?

The news is all excited about the vigorous market for toys and say they dont understand how its happening. Simple it’s because of all the child tax credits rolling out. Tell me that being a breeder dont pay.

I don’t agree 100% in the chaos because you’re comparing a time in era where there was no Internet, no social media, no computers. I believe the results are going to be quite different.

Most underappreciated information share on the web today. Jeremy has been lightyears ahead for over a decade. He is the champ of insight.

    Well done as always Jeremy!

I’m a 5th year retail major student at Ryerson University. And seeing how much retail is changing now vs. My first year time it is absolutely crazy and super exciting. I remember during my first year I hear people ask “is retail a good area to get into now with it looking like it’ll “die” in the coming time?” . I think it’s very safe to say that retail is a forever evolving industry and it’ll never die.

This was also the first video I came across from you guys and I can’t believe you guys are located in Toronto as well!! I’d love to get to know more about the company and be apart of the movement!

Rules and policies don’t matter anymore? There’s more rules and censorship than ever. I agree about the excitement of the post-chaos roaring 20’s, but first we’ve got to reclaim liberty against…ahem…overcentralizers. There’s another trend!
