Ngl, I feel like a lot of these styles are too feminine for my taste and I’m not that into punk. It’s been hard to find clothing I like this year lol

  3. strong power thank you on November 6, 2022 at 11:33 am

    Please not the lita…

  4. Savannah on November 6, 2022 at 11:36 am

I saw some chunky Jelly shoed online the other day and I must have them 😭 I love jellies so much, let me relive my childhood. I can’t do the crocz though.

And I’ve always worn empire waist cause fat, oop 👀

  5. Zoe on November 6, 2022 at 11:36 am

The BLOOMERS! Omg 😍😍😍 fell in love after watching this!

  6. Chrystal Bess Redding on November 6, 2022 at 11:36 am

As much as I love the 1860s through 1940s I really hope that those types of fashion/ shapes/colours don’t seep into mainstream, fast fashion media. There are creative, interesting, and sustainable brands online right now making replicas of those outfits. Even shoes, gloves, hair accessories, lingerie, makeup (Besame), and hosiery. Once these designs enter the mainstream, the internet will be over-saturated with fake, unethical, plain ugly, and not creative (not everyone, but we all know there are people who enjoy selling fakes) outfits.
Thanks ModernGurlz! I look forward to seeing "2023 Fashion Trends or Fashion Fails and Predictions"

Yall nailed almost every single one, i havent yet seen statement hats anywhere. Every other one is going very popular on social media, i even own some of them lol

  10. Rose Lawrence on November 6, 2022 at 11:40 am

I normally hate trends, especially coming out of 2010’s. They always seem so niche and weird to me. Not to say they’re bad, just I haven’t really understood them. But, I must confess, these predictions genuinely make me very excited. There are good and bad trends from every generation is you look hard enough, I’m really excited to see how we all interpret these trends within the next few years.
That being said, you will never see me wearing low rise jeans, but that’s the fun part of fashion, right? We each have our own tastes.

  11. Thea Koong on November 6, 2022 at 11:42 am

NOOO no drop waist please, also no empire eitherr, I can’t with them

  12. Deva W on November 6, 2022 at 11:42 am

OMG finally i found this video again!! i just want to say, you’re completely accurate abt the 2000s style coming back!! a lot of celebrities already starting to wear 2000s fashion style.. i saw Jennie Blackpink wearing lowrise jeans, and New Jeans (new kpop group) having some 2000s concept in their music video.. everytime i saw those celebs using 2000s style, i immediately remembering this prediction video and kept saying in my heas "omg she’s right abt the prediction!!" lol

  13. salma the copt on November 6, 2022 at 11:42 am

  14. Ms. joke's_ headscarf😂 on November 6, 2022 at 11:44 am

The fact that I acually wore gloves to my prom

  15. leilani on November 6, 2022 at 11:49 am

i honestly hope that these predictions DONT come true bc all of the clothing items listed are so cute & it’d be annoying to see everyone walking around wearing the same thing😭 no hate to the creator tho! i love this vid 🙂

  16. Ray_The_Rat on November 6, 2022 at 11:49 am

All I want is mod to come back.

  17. Louise Erbs Lisbjerg on November 6, 2022 at 11:49 am

The balaclava’s… as a Scandinavien who wear’s those when there’s actual wind and dnow I cant help but laugh.
For a lot of us it’s the ugliest nessecity in the world. Imagine that being a trend 😅

Btw.whwn talking sustaineability… those jelly shoes are anything but that!

  18. James Craggs on November 6, 2022 at 11:52 am

Balaclava? No ma’am …… I miss seeing peoples faces 😫

  19. bay area 510 on November 6, 2022 at 11:54 am

As one who wears eyeglasses, I watched your 2021 predictions and large glasses are showing up in 2022.

  20. Sarah Celine Pope on November 6, 2022 at 11:55 am

Not me being an early adapter by accidentally wearing my bicep length driving gloves into a coffee shop. At least 4 people gasped and told me how much they loved them. Oops. They legit were UV gloves

  22. nyx on November 6, 2022 at 12:00 pm

i’m still surprised that ballet flats ever went out of style.

  23. NIKOVIA on November 6, 2022 at 12:02 pm

This school year I’m going 2000’s!!!

  24. Diana's Baby D-The Femcel Slayer on November 6, 2022 at 12:03 pm

I thought ballet flats never went out and is a classic since mid 2000s.

  25. Chow Fur Now Meow on November 6, 2022 at 12:04 pm

I think you are spot on. I was twenty in the 2000s and have worn/used every item you mentioned on the 2022 list. I kept my fav items that I am already wearing since last year: stretchy bootlegs, plaid jacket, velvet drop waist dress, full on beaded dresses/tops (8 diff styles), velvet flares, balloon/flared long- sleeves tops (this is the Edwardian/military inspired era that exploded in 2001-2002), slim neck ties and suiting sets from Karen walker, Swarovski diamonte jewellery, 10 hats I collected since 2003 and 4 x Jeffree Campbell shoes (think Lady Gaga). The only thing I needed to repurchase are the lace/studded footless tights that I used to wear in 2008-2011 era. The only thing I think you missed out is the ‘ruffles’ theme. I think it’s already popular on tops but will be huge on skirts as of now (think Spanish tango dance).

  26. Apocalyptic Visions Of The Damned AVOTD on November 6, 2022 at 12:06 pm

Im not excited for the drop waist to come back just when I felt like i could finally be on trend and look good they decide drop waist is what we need as if thats not just more reason for bigger people to be ridiculed for their size.

  27. Anaïs F on November 6, 2022 at 12:08 pm

I see a theme here… with neckties and halters making a comeback and with the overturning of roe v. wade as the last push we need to send us over over the edge I’d say we’re on the precipice of a feminine revolution 👀

  28. Astrid Eriksson Tropp on November 6, 2022 at 12:08 pm

Thanks for this interesting video, I love that you included historic backgrounds on so many of the trends! It makes it a lot easier to se the context of the trends and fashions.

  29. leilani on November 6, 2022 at 12:08 pm

i really like those green shoes in the thumbnail 😀

  30. mamijote on November 6, 2022 at 12:09 pm

00s are coming back and not just in fashion but in lifestyle and being thin too.

  31. aria💗 on November 6, 2022 at 12:10 pm

15:37 (the middle) this is what olivia rodrigo wore to her driving home 2 u premiere

  32. LiaPourpre on November 6, 2022 at 12:10 pm

I did not expect Rogers theory on diffusion of innovation to appear in this video – but im not mad about it. very clever usage of it 🙂

  33. Livia Cornella on November 6, 2022 at 12:11 pm

Not me already already having a news boy cap just because it makes me feel like a little French boy or a runaway newspaper boy

  34. Adel on November 6, 2022 at 12:12 pm

Dojo cat dressed as a cow, eating a cow, and mocking vegans who defend cows from being abused, saying she doesn’t care about veganism while making a full video about it, is the most cringe and stupid video I could have imagined. I had to wash my eyes and brain after seing it.

  35. Basak Sezgin on November 6, 2022 at 12:12 pm

The main reason I follow trends is that trends are sold in stores and things that are not in fashion is extremely hard to find which is just very inconvient

  36. ModernGurlz on November 6, 2022 at 12:12 pm

last time we did a trend prediction video everyone asked if we had a pinterest for it and i’m happy to announce that indeed we do! check it out: https://www.pinterest.com/moderngurlz/2022-trend-predictions/

  40. Mahsa Farah on November 6, 2022 at 12:15 pm

Why do these trends naturally reveal to me before I even know about the year’s trend? Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s pretty weird and scary.

  41. yoonieorbit on November 6, 2022 at 12:16 pm

What I like about trends coming back is that it can easily encourage people to get clothes secondhand!

  42. Olivia Stauffer on November 6, 2022 at 12:16 pm

ModernGurlz I’m coming back to this video to inform you that ballet flats are in fact in right now. My whole fyp is flooded with Miu Miu flats.

  43. Kkkkk on November 6, 2022 at 12:17 pm

  44. mamijote on November 6, 2022 at 12:17 pm

The people that hate low waist jeans are the ones that they know they wouldn’t sit well in their body.Just admit that they’re fire just not for you

  45. Lexi Mae on November 6, 2022 at 12:20 pm

all I can think of is how expensive all these trends look :,/

  46. Meow Maru on November 6, 2022 at 12:20 pm

  47. Rebeka Pina on November 6, 2022 at 12:22 pm

Jumpsuits and lita boots all the way!!! Plaid and stockings too! Everything else is meh

  48. Sauce Sauce on November 6, 2022 at 12:23 pm

So glad the skinny ripped jeans are fading. Fashion has been boring for the past 7 years. 2022 is bombing with the flared jeans, hem cut trousers and bright colors pink and lemon green. Cut out tops, bodysuits Finally, leather!

  49. erin burwell on November 6, 2022 at 12:25 pm
